AeroCamp Basic is designed to give young people a unique opportunity to explore the vast and exciting world of aviation and aerospace at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport. Campers will have several ground school sessions including dynamics of flight and the basics of flight planning just to name a few. They will also have the opportunity to fly twice (weather permitting) in one of our aircraft with a licensed instructor! The camp is geared towards a STEM based curriculum and will consist of several presentations from professionals in various aspects of aviation.

Camp Dates: July 29- August 2, 2019

Some topics that will be covered are:

  • Basic aviation and flight theory

  • Airplane controls and instrumentation

  • What is a pre-flight inspection

  • Airport traffic patterns and radio calls

  • Basic aeronautical chart usage

Space is limited to 8 students, please click here for registration.  The cost is $650.00 per student and will include a t-shirt, water bottle, approximately 1.5 hours of flight time (weather permitting), and log book.  Student must be entering 8th grade in the fall of 2019.
