AeroCamp is designed to give young people a unique opportunity to explore the vast and exciting world of aviation and aerospace at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport (Loveland– Ft. Collins). Campers will learn about the dynamics of flight, visit the Wings Over the Rockies museum and have the opportunity to fly twice (weather permitting) in one of our aircraft with a licensed instructor. The camp is geared towards a STEM based curriculum and will consist of several presentations from professionals in various aspects of aviation.

Some topics that will be covered are:

  • Basic aviation and flight theory                                                                             Camp Dates:
  • Airplane controls and instrumentation                                                                  High School: June 25-29, 2018
  • What is a pre-flight inspection                                                                               Middle School: July 23-27, 2018
  • Airport traffic patterns and radio calls
  • Basic aeronautical chart usage
