AeroCamp Basic is designed to give young people a unique opportunity to explore the vast and exciting world of aviation and aerospace at the Northern Colorado Regional Airport. Campers will have several ground school sessions including dynamics of flight and the basics of flight planning just to name a few. They will also have the opportunity to fly twice (weather permitting) in one of our aircraft with a licensed instructor! The camp is geared towards a STEM based curriculum and will consist of several presentations from professionals in various aspects of aviation.
Camp Dates: July 27- July 31, 2020
Some topics that will be covered are:
Basic aviation and flight theory
Airplane controls and instrumentation
What is a pre-flight inspection
Airport traffic patterns and radio calls
Basic aeronautical chart usage

AeroCamp Advanced is the next level for students who participated in AeroCamp Basic the previous year. This 3 day camp involves the planning and execution of a cross country flight to Lincoln, Nebraska. The first day is review and planning for our trip and the second and third day is spent flying to and from Lincoln. We spend one night at Eugene Mahoney State Park, visit the Space and Air Museum and weather permitting visit the ropes course nearby. This is a great experience for your student to get up to 4 hours of flight time and reconnect with friends made the previous year.
Camp Dates: June 22-June 24, 2020
Space is limited to 6 students on this trip so don’t wait! The cost is $1350.00 per student and includes all meals and lodging for the cross country trip.
